So he managed to do it!
I’m rushing out the door Wednesday morning for work and happened to look over…it stopped me right in my tracks. This may sound crazy but I gasped and felt my heart drop for a second.
Rubbing my hand over it just to make sure my eyes weren’t failing me, I shook my head in disbelief. Noooo! I could not believe it! I paid way too much for that!
Not even a month in place and now it has two deep scratches carved in it! No, this can’t be true! (Clearly, I am still in denial at this point)
“Keith!!!” I yelled from the kitchen, “You scratched the table!”
“Huh! The table!”
“No! Not the table the bench to the table but still it’s scratched!”
(Silence from the room)
“Just never mind! I bought insurance, I’ll call them out”
Still shaken up, I finally make it out the house…I know it’s just a table, well not a table but rather a bench to the table but still, I loved it and I paid way too much for it, so I was bothered.
“I know how you feel”
I kid you not; those were the words that I heard while driving.
“I paid way too much for you to keep denting and scratching things up”
“God bought you with a great price. So honor God with your body. You belong to Him.”-1 Corinthians 6:20 NLV
It’s amazing how cautious we are with things when we know how much they cost.
Let’s be careful not to make too many dents and scratches, let’s watch what we do with our bodies and speak with our mouths.
My prayer is that even on tomorrow morning when we rise and celebrate… we’ll remember not only our Christ but the cost as well.
